Wednesday arvos had been sporting activities days. There is such a lot possibility! to run and do sporting activities and teach to your spare time as good. You'll have a laugh suppose me. If you become a member of the RAN you'll be able to love the SH*T run.answers 2:well since you wantt to be a Dentist USNA is right out as they only produce Line officers. which is good because EVERY semester you WILL play a sport. so that leaves ROTC.. only problem they too only rpoduce Line officers and only a teeeny tiny number ever get picked up for continued education.. and since you need the 4 year degree before you can apply apply to dental school...how do you plan on paying for it? while sports are not a major deciding factor the fact is comparing you to somebody equally qualified who also played basketball all through HS.. the Jock is gonna get the scholarship. the Navy wants well rounded individuals....answers 3:You don't have to play sports to be in the military. Just stay in shape by running doing push ups and sit ups. You're only a sophomore so you ha! ve plenty of time to get in shape. I'm 5'6 and am leaving for! OCS in November so Size doesn't matter. My favorite saying "It's not the size of the dog in the fight, it's the size of the fight in the dog"Your grades don't really matter either. As long as you do well on the ASVAB and get a degree then you'll be fine....answers 4:hey mrs. jvb, i think you completely forgot about staff corps officers, which is to what i was inferringanswers 5:The great thing about the Navy is it requires less physical ability then the Army or Marines, with the exception of SF groups. Look online to see what the physical training requirements are for the Navy. If you want to be an officer, keep your grades up and apply for ROTC or the Naval Acadamy next year. You should also look to get involved. Officers are leaders and if you dont have experience on the field or court, you need to set yourself apart by having other leadership experience eg: student goverment, church leadership positions, community service or charity work. You need to sell yourself to ! a board and tell the Navy why they want you, and not why you want them. OCS is an option if you finish college, however OCS is used to fill Officer positions left over after the Acadamy and ROTC fill them. As a result, selection may be limited or more difficult in 7-8 years. http://www.military.com/military-fitness/navy-fitn......
