Can I buy a car with my pell grant?

Elden Bardach: I guess you could, but it's meant for you to use for school stuff.

Kenneth Queener: No, you cannot legally use pell grant funds to purchase a car. You also should not get a penny of the pell grant since your scholarship covers everything. Leave the pell funds for students who really need it.

Zora Mazzie: I wouldn't, no, unless I absolutely needed a car.If you absolutely need a car, buy a cheap car for under $1000. Don't waste money on a new car.

Clement Viscarro: YES, absolutely you may use your financial aid of ANY FORM to buy a car provided that it will be used to further your education. I had to buy a car when I started back to college so I could actually get to my classes in order to obtain a degree. I used my leftover financial aid to buy a used Saturn very cheap & I still have it.
