What does financial aid cover?

Donovan Stallons: College costs might include tuition, room and board, books, medical insurance, and student activity fee.Financial aid covers some or all of this. It depends on your "financial need." Usually they send you a bill and show you how much they are covering, and how much you are responsible for.

Vickie Clampett: You'd better look at some professional book.

Otto Lingafelt: Sallie Mae loans are government loans. Student financial aid is intended to cover the cost of tuition and fees, books, with a little extra for education-related expenses. It is not, however, intended to cover all of the costs of living expenses, and your cat is not factored in at all. If you can't afford to go back to school and keep your cat, you may need to choose one or the other, find a cheaper place to live, get some room mates to split the costs of rent and utilities, or work while you're in school....Show more

Kenneth Queener: Hello,First contact the financial aid and! cashier office/department at the college that you will be attending, and ask them for clarification on the bill. Also, usually class schedules will have a break down of school fees, usually in the front of the schedule. Do not wait to contact the fin aid office. In terms of what financial aid is supposed to cover, it depends on what you have been awarded. If there is a student portal where you can see your financial aid, it should list what you qualify for. If you know what kind of financial aid you have received call the fin aid office and ask them what this fin aid will cover. The best advice I can give is to contact the school directly and ask to speak with someone in regards to your financial aid. Let them know that you are not clear as to why you have a balance. Good luck and hope this helps....Show more

Cliff Jacoby: Obviously, your financial aid isn't enough to cover all your college expenses. You can try applying for more grants and loans, get a job or wait t! ill you have more money to attend college. Unless you have a ! total scholarship you are going to have to pay something. Call the financial aid office at your college and talk to someone there. They will probably be able to help you find more funding.

Melvin Nakama: When it comes to financial aid or scholarship questions, I just tell my friends to visit http://www.FinancialAidQuick.com and take a look around. Its good starting point with a few good sources of aid.

Benita Nancy: Financial aid will cover costs.. tuition, fees, and even room and board if you get enough. If your financial aid is not listed on your bill, you probably have not turned in all the necessary signed documents to your schools fin aid office. You should have received an "Award Letter" from the fin aid office by now detailing exactly how much and what kinds of aid you are getting. If neither of these things have happened, you don't have any aid. Simply filling out the fafsa online isn't enough to get you aid at a college, you have to FOLLOW UP with ! your school to get everything ready....Show more

Mercedez Trabue: Barely anything....thats what they do, they want you to pay part of it.
