Myron Leftwich: The Canon Powershot model SX 40 HS is an excellent camera. It is a "do-all" camera with a fixed zoom lens. That means you CANNOT add other lenses or remove the one that comes on the camera. That's why this type camera is called a "bridge" camera. A "bridge" is between a less advanced point and shoot camera and a full fledged DSLR (Digital Single Lens Reflex) camera. The picture quality from this camera is excellent!
