Can you buy a exotic car making $120k a year?

Rodrigo Pezley: I forgot to say that I'll have say $200k saved up. Which makes the Ferrari about a $60k finance.

Brenton Cornwall: No. First off, making $120K a year means you clear maybe $6500-7000 a month after taxes. You don't walk away with all of it monthly. Second, and this is the big one: None of the lenders will loan you more than you make in a year. Lenders for exotics want to see that you have the money in the bank to cover the investment in case of default (which happens WAY more than people think, as most folks do not finance exotics), and they also want to see an income somewhere in the neighborhood of 3-to-4 times the price of the car itself. The monthly outlay means nothing to the lender... it's all about debt/income....Show more

Dallas Bartolini: Depends where you live. If you live in a very expensive area, then chances are that you won't. Vice versa, not really. In general, if you have to ask people if you can afford something, especially when ! you can't budget for yourself and expect us to do the budgeting for you, then chances are that you can't.

Kate Baune: if you have to ask if you can afford it, then you most likely can't, people that buys those's types of cars, doesn't ask that say I want this, and its ordered or located.

Chris Rosenkranz: Maybe. You need to run the numbers through a auto loan calculator (just Google it) and find out what your payments would be. But don't forget the two biggies, sales tax and insurance. Insurance payments could easily be as much as your car payments.

What are the essentials to a good car audio system?

Isreal Kochheiser: i would get a good deck first, then amp, next speakers but the whole time concentrate on system design cause next upgrade may be another sub and an amp to match.i have thousands in my system but bought the best equipment and spent years making lay away payments, get good front speakers and an amp to run them at the volume you want.this is all about system design, do research and do not be fooled by bargain pieces that have great specs just buy higher end equipment online from ebay for previous year closeouts for the best deals.google car audio enthusiast sites for forums....Show more

Betsey Muehlbach: Here is some essential to good car audio.1. Replace the factory radio with an aftermarket. I go with alpine or pioneer.there the best on the market today. They have even bugdet ones too.2.replace factory speakers. Factory don't handle a lot of power like aftermarket do. Sometimes you want a 4 channel amp for this. So, you can tailor to the sound to ! you liking.3. Subs. I don't know you music taste. 2 10" woofers should take care of the lows. 4. Amps. Stick with cea 2006 complaint amps. There are tested to surpass exepctations of the amp or amps that your buying. You can go to cruthfield.com. Go to outfit your car. Follow the instructions. It will ask for make/model/year of your vehicle. Or you can call them. The will be glad to help you out with question that may have. They have years of experince. The good news that you can save money. You can actually install the items yourself. This can save about $200+. If I were you I checked them out. Any thing that you can think of they have the answer for you. Even ipod questions.they even help you out when on the budget. But, still get quality Here's a link for you. http://www.crutchfield.com/...Show more

Toney Flaten: alright i'll help you out here, the first thing your going to want to do is replace your head unit, go with somethign that has triple pre-out this means th! at you are going to have a pre out for subs, rear speakers, an! d fronts.. this allows you to upgrade in the future if you plan on just doing speakers or whatever it is that your looking to do. what most cars lack in stock systems is the bass response you wont hear the "hidden" part of music artist intend you to hear in a vehicle without having a subwoofer to produce the low level audio. so my first suggestion would be :A) head unit triple preout, JVC makes great head units for the average consumer with usually the most function for your buck the new JVC KD-R800 has just about everything the average person will ever want including bluetooth, triple preout, ipod control, front and rear usb and the usually EQ's ect, ect ect.B) buy at least a 4AWG wiring kit, again as an average consumer i recommend the monster 300 series this gives you: 4AWG power cables, 4AWG grounding cable your remote wire 18AWG, a distribution block so you can split your power to more than one amp and 8AWG power and ground to come off the distribution block as well ! as all your ring terminals and fuse and fuse holders.the only thing missing from this kit is your RCA interconnects, stinger makes great interconnect RCAs dont cheap out on your RCAs these carry your signal you dont want to be hearing alternator noise, or static because you bought cheap RCAs.C) now you will need a sub, this gets down to what your most likely going to use it for, for rock i would go with two 10" subs in a closed box this will let you keep your accuracy but at the cost of less "boom"if your more of a hip hop guy go with either 2 high quality 10's or better 2 12" subs in a ported enclosure, with the ported enclosure your giong to lose a bit of accuracy but you gain high dB's thus your get a louder "boom"D) now to get the sub(s) moving your going to need an amp. for subs your going to want a Class-d mono block amp for an average consumer i would recommend either A) MTX 4001 or B) Alpine MRP-M500. these are putting out 400 watts rms and 500 watts rms at 2ohm loa! d. obviously there are higher powered amps im just trying to keep you wi! thin a certain budget system range something to get you started, if you looking to spend alot more then edit your question and i will definitly edit my answers for you.now thats what i say you do first once you get your subs in wait a bit save for some half decent speakers your going to want components for your front this means your goign to have a driver with a seperate tweeter and crossover, but dont worry about speakers til you get your sub in, for your rear deck just get some coax speakers... sorry im getting lazy this is a long answer i dont want to go into explainations of component and coax google it if you must know.. lolonce thats done you have the choice of running your speakers off of your deck which will put out roughly 20 watts RMS x4 or amping them usually to 50 watts rms x4 depending on what speakers your putting in, again this is an average consumer system it will cost oyu anwhere from 1200-2000 depending where you buy and what brands you go with but this s! hould definitly help you out to understand some car audio, and i definitly hope i get a best answr for this huge essay i just wrote you lol... edit if you have questions i'll check by later...Show more

Can I buy a car with my pell grant?

Elden Bardach: I guess you could, but it's meant for you to use for school stuff.

Kenneth Queener: No, you cannot legally use pell grant funds to purchase a car. You also should not get a penny of the pell grant since your scholarship covers everything. Leave the pell funds for students who really need it.

Zora Mazzie: I wouldn't, no, unless I absolutely needed a car.If you absolutely need a car, buy a cheap car for under $1000. Don't waste money on a new car.

Clement Viscarro: YES, absolutely you may use your financial aid of ANY FORM to buy a car provided that it will be used to further your education. I had to buy a car when I started back to college so I could actually get to my classes in order to obtain a degree. I used my leftover financial aid to buy a used Saturn very cheap & I still have it.

I don't understand the proccess of selling a car, can someone help?

Reginald Maxi: If you're selling to a dealer, they can help you handle the bank and the title. If you're selling to a private buyer, not having a clear title in hand is a HUGE handicap. Me, I would never, EVER buy a car from someone who didn't have a clear title. You could get a loan to pay off the car, and then pay that off when you get the money from the buyer. That's not the best option, but ...basically you aren't likely to have a lot of luck selling the car yourself without the title....Show more

Chet Nozick: Say you own $5000 to the bank for the car. You are selling it for $6000. (you can call bank and get exact pay off amount). You have a buyer show up and want to purchase the car. Instead of them giving you $6000, they give you $1000 and then they write a check to your bank for $5000. You cannot cash this check as its not made out to you....but it would be used to pay off the car. The buyer can even send this check in themselves. Or you can both cal! l and deal with it over the phone and then the bank can send the title to the new buyer. In your paperwork you should have a temporary title...showing that you are the owner but it has a lien on the car through such said bank.Cars are bought every day with titles floating, being paid off like you want, etc. Even the license bureau gives 30 days to clear up the title issues from buying and selling....hence why we have the 30 day temporary tag.To the guy who said he wouldn't buy it.....he lives a sheltered life and has no clue how the car industry works.Just call your bank....they will walk you through the process they prefer as all they want is their money....Show more
