answers 0:How safe is a dental Implant ? When you are just 24 and have years to go....?answers 1:See my smile I have dental implants and LOVE them. When I got them I met two woman at my Prosthodontists office who were going on 25 years with dental implants with zero problems. They told me that my dental implants will last my lifetime as long as I take care of them and have regular dental cleanings as well. If you have lost a tooth there is no other alternative in my opinion than to get a dental implant at your age simply because without the implant or natural tooth root the bone in the area where the missing tooth is will steadily deteriorate to the point that when your older you might not be able to get a implant because the bone is gone. Dental implants a! re very safe. I am going on 5 years with them with no infections ever....answers 2:HiSuccess rates today are very high and in only very rare cases do you see complications or - failure. My tooth has become infected 2x, and if I get another infection I have to have the tooth pulled. I'm 22 and I was curious about the dental implants as well. Would they actually last a lifetime or do you have to replace them. Also I know technology is better than it used to be, so supposedly there is a greater chance of success than there used to be. The only down side I heard is that implants on the upper molars have the least success rate, which of course is where I would need it. GOOD LUCK!!!...answers 5:Depends h! ow many years you have to go. Besides there are people I know ! of that are like 28 or older and they`re just starting to wear to a dental Implant. I`d say its very safe.answers 6:I got an implant about 20 years ago and it is just fine. It used to get infected a lot when I first got it. Ask your dentist for the oral mouth rinse or used Colgate Vitadent and rinse with Listerine. After your mouth gets use to the implant you should be fine. Good luck!!answers 7:It is relatively safe because they use very innate and non toxic substances and the chance of poisoning is minimum. but there is a risk of Antimony poisoning in poorly mixed and manufactured filling cements. But after a fill as it contains mettle you cant have MRI scans of your head for any reason. it is the same reason we are not pitting mettle objects in our microwave. they will heat up and burst.answers 8:In futhure when the dental implant has to be removed for some reason . What about the hole the docs drill in the upper jaw bone where I need to get it done ?
