What is the difference between a degree in Theatre and a degree in Theatre Studies...?

Filiberto Ranalli: This depends on which college you go to. For example, at my college there is a BFA Acting major and a BA Theatre & Performance major. It's important to know if one of the degrees you mentioned are a BFA vs. BA. If one is, my guess would be the Theatre is BFA. If this is the case, there is a huge difference. BFA Theatre programs are much more intense and highly focused on the craft of acting while BA Theatre programs are less intense and you will learn about a variety of jobs in the theatre from acting to directing to casting.
